Tenents of Faith

We believe in God the Father Almighty existing eternally in the trinity of three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(2 Corinthians 13:14).

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God and is inerrant.

(2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man, in order that He might reveal God to us.

(1 John 15-16).

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and of judgment; and to guide and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ.

(John 16:7-11).

We believe man was created in the image of God, but that by our free will fell from grace and is unable to remedy his lost condition on his own.

(Romans 5:12)

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, by grace, and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who while we were still sinners, died for us on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.

(Ephesians 2:8, John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 10:6-1, 1 John 1:9))

We believe in the baptism of believers, through water immersion, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 28: 19)

We believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior through the breaking of bread and the taking of the cup of salvation

(I Corinthians 11: 24, 25)

We believe the believer is to be in this world but not of this world.   We believe it is the will of God that we are sanctified daily, growing constantly in the faith, and walk daily in the Spirit.

(Hebrews 6:1, Ephesians 4:30-32)

We believe the baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers and that His infilling is available yesterday, today and forever  as in Bible days.

(Acts 2:4)

We believe the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon us as Christians (I Corinthians 12: 1 11) and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life

(Galatians 5:22)

We believe divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith.

(James 5:14-16)

We believe in the second coming of Christ, visibly and bodily, and is personal and imminent

(I Thessalonians 4:16, 17)

We believe some day all shall stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive eternal life or death.

(Revelation 20:11-15; Hebrews 9:27; 2 Corinthians 5: 10)

We believe heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers.

(John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17, Revelation 20:10-15)
